I know I don't get to listen to much as I used to, usually just travelling home from work (get a lift there, it'd be rude to have my ipod on). Workmate didn't have his radio yesterday so I blasted out ska from the ipod via speakers, had the whole lot on shuffle play (and still have) and it would take too long to list everything I've heard since - even if I could remember it all. Will re-post when I next listen to something specific ;D

The Communicators new album 'Care In The Communicators.' I saw them at The Dublin Castle on Sat night and they were feckin' amazing. Really tight, original new wave ska stuff with a Dury / Kinks / 1980 Madness feel. I bought the album direct from the band and haven't stopped playing it since. "Cider on a school night' and 'Mr Thompson', classic stuff. I was told that they are currently negotiating a distribution deal with a major but will be selling the first run of albums at gigs and via their site. Check em out at www.myspace.com/thecomms
