might not be everybody's cup of tea but i like this jazzy ska outfit, they do a storming version of "tainted love" and finished with gangsters when i went to see them round my way. also do skatalites, pioneers etc numbers also, they play small venues with cheap prices on the door, i'm hoping to go see them again soon, their albums only a fiver as well. www.skamonics.co.uk/

Minty and me went to the CROSS KINGS pub (KINGS X) last night to see the Skamonics i wouldn't recommend the venue i'm afraid. The band were very good, but the pub ran out of the beer we were drinking! Before that it took 20 mins to get served!! i will go to see the band again no problem, but not at that venue............not the best ska gig i've been to! next one for me-BAD MANNERS 13th feb :hootananny, brixton see you there............................

yeah t'was'nt the best gig or pub i've been to, it was part of an all day music festival so they did'nt do a second set as they normally do, also the band did'nt seem happy with the sound check. for an alldayer a bit of foreward planning would'nt have gone a miss, i still recommend the band though.
