I'll kick this off by naming a couple of my favourites (more will come to mind later, but don't let that stop you chipping in with yours). Bias is not only welcome but encouraged!

2-Tone style 'uptempo' ska : "My Bottled Friend & Foe" by Eindhoven's 'Let's Quit'.
12 self-penned numbers recorded at Pink Noise Studios where I've been known to embarrass myself in front of the mic!
My favourite track is "Strangelove", pounding horns and little Boukje Blanck's 'dirty' mouth on guest vocals.

'authentic' sounding Skinhead Reggae : "Dirty Reggae" by Los Angeles' 'The Aggrolites'.
14 self-penned numbers, all killer, no filler, which means I can't pick a favourite from "Hot Stop", "Pop The Trunk", "Burning Bush", "Reggae Wonderland", "Lunar Eclipse" and the title track itself.

Bosher brought me a copy of the Lets Quit album the last time he came back to blighty, its a great album
but the track Schoolmate is weird, it does'nt seem to fit in with the rest of the tracks, stand out tracks for me are

It compares pretty well Mr. McStabby. Mick is right, the track "schoolmate" is bloody weird, basically a spoken word narration over looping guitar and (subtle) bass for 3 minutes before the other instruments creep in for a chaotic last minute, with the subject matter being rather disturbing (reminds me of Rhoda & Special AKA's The Boiler without the danceability). The last track, "dangerous tactics" is also a bit 'out there' for Let's Quit. I deejayed at their cd release party at the Effenaar on Dec 30th, and the band begged me to play that track as it was written by their new guitarist and he'd never had a deejay play one of his songs before, which I was happy to do, but it stopped everyone dancing which embarrassed me to hell. Apart from all that though, the album is typical Let's Quit and should keep fans like you happy (if Mick wants the other two albums he might have to buy them unless I'm feeling flush or he asks the band to play Speedfreaks2 - hint, hint) and if you've already got the "liberty" cd single you'll already know "Can you keep your hands off my girlfriend" cos that's on there too!
